GearHeads Auto Repair to give nominated veterans free oil change in Jackson

JACKSON Mo. (KBSI) – GearHeads Auto & Diesel Repair will be giving free oil changes to nominated veterans on November 4.

The auto shop is running a program called “Nominate Your Hero” in light of Veteran’s Day.

Amy Ybarra, owner of GearHeads Auto & Diesel Repair says, “My dad, my uncles, my brother-in-law all served; and the men and women that served, that protect our country and allow us to walk around in the freedom that we have, really touches my heart.”

9 veterans will be chosen for the free service.

Food and beverages will also be offered to the community on the day of nomination.

Tyler Lockwood, general manage of GearHeads says, “We are more than auto repair. Yes, we fix your car, yes we do things like that but we also are a part of the community as much as we can be.”

The deadline for submission is October 26.
