McCracken County man facing charges after sheriff’s deputies call for disturbance

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A McCracken County man faces charges after sheriff’s deputies were called for a disturbance.

Joesph E. Mcginnis, 40, faces charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Deputies were dispatched to an address on Vasseur Avenue for a disturbance at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 12.

The caller said that it appeared a man involved in the disturbance possibly had a handgun.

Ddeputies identified the man as Mcginnis.

Mcginnis was found to be in possession of a handgun, according to deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. He is a convicted felon and is not legally allowed to possess any firearms.

He was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail.
