10th annual Craft Beer Festival to return to Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU Mo. (KBSI) – The 10th annual Craft Beer Festival will be returning to Arena Park on Saturday, October 21.

The festival, dedicated to beer enthusiasts, will have approximately 80 samples to choose from.

General admission is $30 and attendees will be given their own tasting glass upon entry.

Michelle Ramsey is the director of the Community Counseling Center Foundation.

“You get a tasting glass, and you have fourn hours to walk all through this area and sample all the beer you want, as many times as you want,” said Ramsey.

Some St. Louis breweries will be in attendance this year along with Cape Girardeau’s local breweries.

Andrew Jacob is assistant manager of Minglewood Brewery.

“This’ll be our 2nd year attending,” said Jacob. “A couple of years ago, we went down and met a bunch of other breweries down there as well. Yea, we’re excited to be down there.”

Rosati’s will provide food within the festival and those who have V.I.P. will be able to receive its catering service.

The event is one of the ways the Community Counseling Center engages with the community and raises funds to provide mental and behavioral services to those in need.
