Pedestrian hit, dies on Business 67 south of Poplar Bluff

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A pedestrian was hit and died Friday morning while walking on a road just south of Poplar Bluff.

Cecil L. Thacker, 50, of Campbell was walking on Business 67 one mile south of Poplar Bluff when he was hit by a mini van at 6:12 a.m. on October 20.

Lester W. Knox, 42, of Naylor was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Astro Van northbound on Business 67.

Thacker was pronounced dead at the scene by Butler County Coroner Jim Akers.
