2 arrested, 1 injured in shooting in Qulin

QULIN, Mo. (KBSI) – Two people were arrested after one person was shot in Qulin on Thursday.

Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs says deputies responded to a call that a person had been shot around 6 p.m. on October 26.

Sheriff Dobbs says the shooting stemmed from an earlier altercation at the home.

Someone from inside the home fired and shot one of the three suspects who had returned to the home where the orginal quarrel took place to seek revenge on one or more of the peope inside the home, according to Sheriff Dobbs.

Colby Tompkins, 18, and unidentified juvenile were arrested.

Sheriff Dobbs says he anticipates another arrest in the near future as the person struck by the bullet was the primary instigator of the situation. He was taken to an out-of-town hospital for treatment.
