A halloween fundraiser dedicated to veterans takes place in Jackson

JACKSON Mo. (KBSI) – The Highly Haunted Halloween Hoedown took places at Steele Crest Winery in light of Veterans.

A silent auction was incorporated into the event for veterans to be able to afford medical cards.

Erick Englehart, president of Buttheadz Growers Club says, “I think that our veterans are some of America’s heroes and I want to be there, we as a club want to be there, and support them and help them.”

The event featured vendors selling crafts, a chili cookoff, a costume contest, and live performances from Nobody’s Darlings and Spacers.

Randal Reed from Spacers says, “It allows a lot of different vendors and artists to come and show their work, sell their work, and make a little money and network.  Maybe meet people in the community that are making art and music.”

The event was free to the public and open to all ages.
