Our story began in April 1983 with the grand opening of Barnett’s Furniture near Simpson. Ron Barnett, with prior business experience in Marion, Illinois, partnered with his daughter Laura Evitts to provide Southern Illinois with high-quality, affordable furniture. In 2002, Ron retired and passed the torch to Laura’s husband, Jeff Evitts. Today, they continue to own and run the business together. Their commitment to offering exceptional value is made possible by their low overhead, which translates to everyday low prices for you.
