Man facing drug charges after traffic stop in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces drug charges in Williamson County after he was pulled over by sheriff’s deputies for traffic offenses.

Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office saw a vehicle in the area of Paulton Road and Streetcar Road commit multiple traffic offenses on October 21 at 2:28 p.m.

Deputies stopped the vehicle. Todd D. Rasmussen was the driver and found to have an active arrest warrant out of Indiana and a revoked driver’s license in Illinois.

He was arrested. The vehicle was towed.

While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, deputies found a schedule 4 controlled substance.

Rasmussen was cited for driving while license revoked, no valid driver’s license, possession of controlled substance and speeding.

He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
