Arkansas man facing charges in Graves County after shots fired

MELBER, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces charges after sheriff’s deputies were called to a report of shots fired outside the Melber community early Saturday, November 4.

Graves County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a home in the 9000 block of KY-945 outside of the Melber community around 3 a.m.

Mickey Neighbors, 33, of Alma, Arkansas faces four counts of wanton endangerment 1st degree, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, terroristic threatening 3rd degree and failure to notify DOT of address change.

Neighbors is accused of getting into an fight with another person at the home.

Neighbors retrieved a firearm, shot two rounds into the air and two rounds toward the other person who was trying to run away, according to deputeis with the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the rounds struck the gravel driveway in close proximity to the person trying to get away.

Neighbors then left the hom in a green Ford pickup but was found a few miles down the road by McCracken County Sheriff’s deputes.

Neighbors was arrested for DUI in McCracken County.

Graves County Sheriff’s deputies conducted interviews and found shell casings at the home.
