Kentucky State Police ask for help to identity theft suspect

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Kentucky State Police troopers ask for the public’s help identifying a woman suspected of using a stolen identity to obtain a cellular phone.
On September 8, an unknown female entered Wal-Mart on Irvin Cobb Drive in Paducah accompanied by a young child.
She approached the Verizon Wireless kiosk where she produced a fake Ohio driver’s license and provided account details belonging to another Verizon customer, according to KSP.
The suspect used the information to obtain a new cellular device valued more than $500.
The victim discovered she was the victim of identity theft several weeks later and notified Kentucky State Police.
