Man facing drug charge after traffic stop in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man was arrested after a traffic stop in Williamson County on Sunday.

Terry L. Key faces charges for an outstanding arrest warrant for domestic battery out of Franklin County. He also faces possession of controlled substance and operating uninsured vehicle charges.

Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Illinois Route 148 near Illinois Route 13 on November 5 at 11:59 a.m.

Key got out of the vehicle and was arrested.

A search of Key found a bottle in Key’s pocket which contained a schedule 3 controlled substance, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

Kee was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
