WINONA, Mo. (KBSI) – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is launching its new virtual program called “Black Bears of Missouri”.

The program will be November 30 from 1-2 p.m. It is put on at MDC’s Twin Pines Conservation Education Center.

Naturalist Wendy Lott will share facts about black bears in Missouri and some of the bear research currently underway. She will also have tips on how to keep them away from your home and how to become “Bear Aware.” This program includes a chat-based question-and-answer option, according to MDC.
