Police recover stolen vehicle

Steele, Mo. (KBSI) – A traffic stop led to the find of a stolen truck.

On November 27, 2023, an officer with the Steele Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Chevy truck.

The truck had been reported stolen and the driver was identified as 28-year-old Torrence Shephard of Steele, Mo.

Shephard was also in possession of a controlled substance.

Shephard was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree and possession of a controlled substance.

He was arrested with a no bond warrant.
