Police look for suspect after 1 injured in shooting in Cape Girardeau
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Police are looking for a St. Louis man who faces charges in Cape Girardeau after one person was shot on Monday, December 18.
A warrant for Anthony Conner, 43, of St. Louis was issued for Class A Felony of domestic assault 1st, felony armed criminal action, Class D felony of unlawful possession of a firearm, and two counts of Class D felony of endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree.
Conner is described as a black male, bald, with dark color clothing, a white ski mask, and black boots.
He was not in custody as of Wedneday evening on December 20.
Anyone who knows of Conner’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Cape Girardeau Police Department or local authorities.
Police warn to not approach or attempt to apprehend Conner.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Rock Creek Lane around 2:45 p.m. on December 18 in reference to a shooting.
Officers arrived and learned a domestic dispute had occurred between two people. During the argument, one person shot the victim with a firearm.
The victim appeared to have non-life threatening injuries. That person was treated by EMS on scene and taken to an area hospital for further treatment.
Police say Conner left the scene before officers arrived and that it appears to be an isolated incident.
