Sikeston residents invited to recycle Christmas trees through Jan. 8

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – Sikeston residents can recycle their real Christmas trees in the annual Christmas Tree Collection program.

Through Sunday, January 8, residents may take their real Christmas trees to the collection site in the Recreation Complex by the Jaycee Football Field.

Remove all decorations from the trees.

Video surveillance will be monitored to ensure no additional trash is left behind.

The Christmas trees will be used to improve fish habitat in ponds and lakes.
