Over $2,000 in vandalism damages to Mayfeild Park bathrooms

MAYFEILD, Ky. (KBSI) – The Mayfeild Police Department has made an arrest after a vandalism at Kess Creek Park.
On November 9th, 2023, Officers were made aware of extensive damage to the women’s bathroom at Kess Creek Park.
There were over $2,000 in damage that included the tearing down and removal of the metal partitions between the toilets.
Utilizing the surveillance camera system that has been installed at the park to deter this very type of vandalism, two suspects were identified.
Kennedie Mohney, age 20 of Mayfield, was identified and charged in this case.
A 14-year-old juvenile was also identified and charged.
Mohney turned herself in on December 21st, 2023, after the issuance of an arrest warrant.
The use of the surveillance cameras that have been installed in the City Parks has proven to be very useful in deterring criminal activity and assisting Officers.
