Murray Electric System customers asked to reduce power consumption

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – The Tennessee Valley Authority is requiring all Murray Electric System customers to reduce any unneccessary power consumption to help avoid power interruptions.
This is due to an increased demand on the electric system caused by the extremely cold temperatures.
Customers are asked to continue voluntary curtailment by limiting their electric use to essential items until further notice.
No interruptions are scheduled to take place.
The Power Advisory impacts all 153 local power companies of TVA across the entire Tennessee Valley.
