Open investigations on three men after organization sets up underage decoys

MISSSOURI (KBSI) – There are open investigations on three area men after they talked to and met with what they thought was an underaged female but was actually a decoy from the ‘Bikers Against Predators’ organization.

A Dexter man is in custody after showing up to the Bernie School district to meet with what he thought was a 13-year-old child. 

According to the president of the ‘Bikers Against Predators’ organization “The individual reached out to our decoy on an application. They started communicating a little bit, ya know pretty much she stated that she was thirteen and he stated that he wanted to meet up with her. He begged her to meet up with him. Wanted to take her back to his house.”  

Boots is the President of ‘Bikers Against Predators’. A nonprofit organization that catches predators attempting to meet up with children online.

According to a video posted to their Facebook page Boots met up with 50-year-old Joseph Craig at the Bernie school district and questioned him. Craig attempted to deny why he was there then proceeded to get in his truck to drive off, crashing into a fence. 

‘Boots’ says it is extremely important for parents to know who their children are talking to online.

“Know who your kids are talking too, set up different applications so you can monitor what your kids are doing. You can literally monitor everything through a few different apps like bark or even google and apple have their own family apps you can tell them what to download and just watch what their downloading because some of these guys are lurking on family friendly apps. Ya know kids want to have Facebook and talk to their friends but that’s where were getting these guys from,” Says ‘Bikers Against Predators’. 

Joseph Craig of Dexter faces two felony counts after authorities say he met up with a child on Bernie school grounds.

Steven Eubanks of Kennett Mo faces charges of attempted enticement of a child under age 15, and child pornography.

Johny William Armstrong of Caruthersville Mo is being held in the Pemiscot County Jail and faces one charge of possession of child pornography.
