School closings for Monday, January 22

(KBSI) – Many area school districts are closed for Monday, January 22, 2024 due to poor road conditions, abundance of caution and the potential icy weather conditions.

Missouri

  • Advance R-4 Schools
  • Bell City R-11 Schools
  • Bernie R-13 Schools (The district will utilize an AMI day. Students will receive work through electronic communications from their teachers and are required to participate. For students in younger grades, teachers sent work packets home in case of inclement weather.)
  • Bloomfield R-14 schools
  • Cape Girardeau Schools had already canceled classes on Monday, January 15 for MLK Jr. Day and Tuesday, January 16 for a Professional Development Day.
  • Chaffee R-2- will start an hour later than usual.
  • Delta R-V School District – AMI Day
  • Dexter R-XI School District-AMI Day
  • Jackson R-2 School District
  • Kelly School District
  • Kelso C-7 Elementary
  • Leopold R-III School District (AMI day)
  • Malden R-I School District
  • Naylor R-2 School District
  • Neelyville R-IV Schools
  • Notre Dame Regional High School
  • Poplar Bluff School District already scheduled a day off on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
  • Perry County School District 32
  • Puxico R-8
  • Scott City R-1 School District
  • Woodland Elementary

Illinois

  • Massac Unit School District #1
  • Sesser-Valier Schools

Kentucky

Tennessee

  • University of Tennessee at Martin – main campus is OPEN, but five centers at Jackson, Parsons, McNairy County/Selmber, Ripley and Somerville will be closed
