Drug house ran by members of Chicago street gang ‘Gangster Disciples’ shut down

COLP, Ill. (KBSI)- Deputies with Williamson County Sherriff’s Department shut down a drug house.
On January 26, 2024 around 5:45 am Williamson County Sherriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 102 Kennedy Street, Colp, Illinois.
Deputies found 6 firearms, 60.1 grams of Crack Cocaine, 71.03 grams of powder Cocaine, 6.77 grams of Methamphetamine, 7.65 grams of Cannabis, drug packaging materials, multiple digital scales, and $2,335.12 in United States currency which are drug proceeds subject to asset forfeiture.
Deputies located a cooktop lab used to manufacture crack cocaine inside the residence.
Victor X. Hurd and LaShawn Walker were both taken into custody.
Both men said they were member of the Chicago Street Gang “Gangster Disciples”.
Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich stated, “This search warrant is the culmination of an extensive and ongoing investigation. Those who choose to poison our community by operating drug houses in Williamson County are on notice”.
Hurd and Walker were taken to Williamson County Jail.
