2 face drug charges after traffic stop in Murray

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two people face drug charges after a traffic stop in Murray.

Robert L. Davis, 47, of New Concord faces charges of possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense – methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Melanie D. Ball, 43, of Buchannan, Tenn. faces charges of possession of controlled substance 1st deg, 1st offense – methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on Poplar Street in Murray for traffic violations on January Jan 31 around 4 p.m.

Both the driver (Davis) and passenger (Ball) were believed to be in possession of illicit drugs.

They were arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
