Paducah woman facing drug charges after traffic stop
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah woman faces drug charges after she was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy for traffic violations.
Nancey Ali, 45, faces charges of careless driving, windows not safety glass, license to be in possession, possesion of controlled substance 1st deg, 1st offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and failure to produce insurance card.
McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Hartman was on routine patrol on February 13 around 9:47 p.m. when he saw a Pontiac Bonneville with traffic violations.
He pulled the driver over for a traffic stop in the area of US 60.
Due to prior knowledge of Ali’s history, Deputy Hartman asked for Deputy Latta and K-9 Bobi to respond.
K-9 Bobi conducted a free air sniff and indicated to the odor of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle.
A syringe with a liquid substance inside was found in the vehicle. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine, according to sheriff’s deputies.
