West Frankfort man arrested for drugs after traffic stop

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (KBSI) – A Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle on West 7th Street in West Frankfrot on February 29 around 7:40 p.m.
K9 Vader did a free air sniff around the outside of the vehicle and indicated for the presence of drugs.
A passenger in the car, Shane D. Mullen, 59, of West Frankfort was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Mullen was arrested and faces charges of possession of methamphetamine 15-100 grams (Class 1 felony) and possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine (Class X felony).
Mullen was on paraole.
He was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
