Human remains found in Butler County identified as missing woman

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A positive identification has been made eight months after human remains were found in rural Butler County.
In June 2023, a farmer found human remains in rural Butler County.
The Butler County Major Case Squad was activated. The squad used forensic labs and experts. After eight months, they made a positive identification.
Aimee Rose Ross had been missing since May 2023.
The Butler County Major Case Squad investigated the cause and manner of death since the discovery of the remains.
Authorities have one person of interest. However, they say he is uncooperative at this time.
