PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man faces burglary, drug and other charges after police say he broke into an adult store and stole merchandise.

Kash H. Perez, 24, of Main Street faces charges of third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers were called in the early morning hours of Feb. 27 to an alarm sounding at Romantix adult store located 705 Main Street.

They found the back door glass shattered.

Surveillance video showed a man wearing a black hoodie, dark-colored pants and grey shoes break the glass and enter the building. Police say he placed merchandise in a bag and left the store.

Patrol officers received a tip that the burglar was Perez. His physical features matched those of the man on surveillance video.

A search warrant was served at Perez’ home.

Detectives recovered a bag containing part of the stolen merchandise, according to police.

Officers also found two pipes commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, both of which police say contained residue.
