Cape Anime in full swing

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape Anime is underway at the Drury Plaza Hotel.

The event celebrates Japanese culture and animated movies and TV shows, as well as other pop culture content. Attendees can visit dozens of vendors, meet actors from popular TV shows, participate in costume contests, and more.

Director Ken Murphy shared these words of advice for someone who is coming to an event like Cape Anime for the first time.

“I suggest you come with an open mind,” he said. “Try something new. See what the culture is, meet some new people, a lot of creative people. If you consider yourself a creative person, there is tons of creativity at events like these.” 

Cape Anime continues on Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
