Pedestrian dies after struck by vehicle in Dunklin County

DUNKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A pedestrian died after he was hit by a vehicle south of Kennett early Thursday morning.

James R. Zurhorst, 53, of Cardwell was walking on US 412 three miles south of Kennett when he was hit by a vehicle around 12:30 a.m. on March 14, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Brian K. Grubb, 53, of Senath was driving a 2016 Ford Focus westbound on US 412 when his vehicle struck Zurhorst.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell.
