MO Lt. Gov. Keheo visits Sikeston’s Veterans Park to view historic period light post, banners

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – Missouri Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe visited Sikeston on Tuesday.

He viewed the historic period light posts and banners honoring veterans in Veterans Park.

The Sikeston Convention & Visitors Bureau, Sikeston Parks and Recreation and Veterans Park Committee with support from Sikeston Board of Municipal Utilities and the Missouri Humanities Grant collaborated on the project.

The CVB applied for and received a Missouri Humanities Council Grant to partially fund the project.

The Sikeston Honors Veterans Committee raised the additional sponsorships needed to purchase the light posts.

Sikeston BMU partnered with the group to cover the installation as an in-kind donation.
