Man facing drug charges after traffic stop in Mayfield
MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces drug charges after a traffic stop in Mayfield on Wednesday night.
Graves County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Crane conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Mayfield around 11:23 p.m.
Deputies say Ryan Gibson of Mayfield was the driver.
Deputy Crane searched the vehicle after some investigation.
He found several folded dollar bills containing methamphetamine and a straw used for ingesting controlled substances, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Gibson was arrested.
Ryan Gibson faces charges of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia buy/possess and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance 1st offense.
Gibson was taken to the Graves County RC Center where deputies say he will be moved to an out-of-county facility.
