Drug trafficking arrest at Mayfield Motel

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI)- The Graves County Sheriff’s Office received information concerning alleged drug trafficking occurring at the Budget Inn, located on East Broadway in Mayfield.

Sheriff’s detectives followed up on the information Friday morning, which ultimately led to a search of a motel room at that location.

During the search, 34-year-old Edward Lee Troup was arrested after detectives located both crystal Methamphetamine and crack Cocaine.

The investigation revealed that Troup was in fact selling these drugs from the motel room.

Arrested: Troup, Edward Lee age 34 of Mayfield, Ky
Charges: Trafficking in Methamphetamine Over 2 grams
Possession of Cocaine 2nd or Subsequent Offense

Troup is a convicted felon with previous felony convictions for both trafficking and possessing drugs categorized as felonies.

He was transported to an out of county detention center.
