Two babies born at Saint Francis Medical Center during the solar eclipse
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The 2024 solar eclipse had many people celebrating, but two families in Cape Girardeau were celebrating for a different reason.
Two babies were welcomed into the world, born at Saint Francis Medical Center during the eclipse.
Emma Cates is a first-born child to parents, Allison and Brian Cates. Baby Emma’s parents are happy she is here and are calling her their “peanut.” They are from Jackson, Missouri.
Kai Rust is a first-born child to parents, Whittney and Sho Rust.
Baby Kai was an emergency c-section, so mom was relieved and thankful everything went smoothly and that he was fine.
They are from Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
