Jackson R-II Middle School students take 1st place at math competition

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – The Jackson Middle School Math Team recently traveled to Southeast Missouri State University to the Elementary Math Competition.

The team took 1st place as a school.

Kenneth Cai, Cooper Dunham, Cole Kitchen, Lucas and Nathan Baldwin, and Noah Turner were participants in the competition.

Individual awards were given.

Cai took 1st overall for 5th grade.

Turner took 2nd overall for 6th grade.

Nathan Baldwin took 4th overall for 6th grade.

Lucas Baldwin took 6th overall for 6th grade.

All 4 of the boys qualified for the State Math Competition which will be held on May 4 in Columbia, MO.
