Arkansas man facing child molestation charge in Cape Girardeau County

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A man from Arkansas faces a child molestation charge in Cape Girardeau County.

Willard L. Pendergraff, Jr. 60, faces a charge of statutory sodomy- 1st degree with a person younger than 14 years old.

During a forensic interview on October 25, 2023, police were told Pendergraff, Jr. committed sodomy on a child while the child was sleeping.

During a interview with Pendergraff Jr. on April 2, 2024, police say he admitted to touching the person in a sexual manner, but that there was no sexual intercourse.
