2 seriously injured including 1 facing charges after crash in Ripley County
DONIPHAN, Mo. (KBSI) – A Doniphan man faces DUI and other charges after an injury crash in Ripley County on Monday.
Caleb M. Salinas, 20, faces charges of felony driving while intoxicated – alcohol – serious physical injury, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash. He was also cited for no insurance and fail to display valid plates, fail to secure child less than 16 in seatbelt and no seatbell.
The crash happened on Monday, April 15 at 5:30 p.m. on Route Y two miles north of Doniphan.
The vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned, according to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
A 14-year-old with serious injuries was taken by EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Salinas was also seriously injured. He was taken by air evac to Regional One Health in Memphis, Tenn.
A MoDOT school bus stop ahead sign was damaged.
