Storms begin roll through FOX23 viewing area

(KBSI) – Storms rolling through the FOX23 News viewing area brought some hail and trees down on Thursday, April 18.

Storm reports from the National Weather Service

  • 9:25 p.m. – several funnel clouds reported west of Advance, MO
  • 7:44 p.m. – tree down on Hwy. 37 at Gun Creek in Franklin County, Ill.
  • 7:38 p.m. – quarter inch hail reported in Pinckneyville, Ill.
  • 6:05 p.m. confirmed tornado near Glen Carbon, Ill. moving east at 40 miles per hour
  • 5:45 p.m. – confirmed tornado in the southern suburbs of St. Louis
  • 5:10 p.m. – A tree is down across Highway 37 between Cairo and Mounds City, Ill.
  • 4:46 p.m. – 1.5 inch hail reported near Cypress in Johnson County, Ill.
  • 3:43 p.m. – 47 mile per house wind gust near De Soto in Jackson County, Ill.
  • 3:12 p.m. – 50 mph wind gust near Reynoldsville in Union County, Ill.
  • 3:12 p.m. – .25 inch hail near Reynoldsville in Union County, Ill.
