Murray man facing drug charges after traffic stop

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Murray man faces several charges after he was stopped by police for an equipment violation.
Calvert Johnson, 31, of Murray faces charges of operating on suspended/revoked operators license, operating motor vehicle under influence of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance, 1st degree (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and failure to illuminate head lamps.
An officer with the Murray Police Department stopped a vehicle on South 4th Street for an equipment violation around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16.
During the traffic stop, officers say evidence of criminal activity was discovered.
Johnson was arrested.
