2 face charges after traffic stop in mall parking lot

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Two people face charges after a sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop in a mall parking lot in Paducah
A deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s office made a traffic stop in the Ross parking lot of the Kentucky Oaks Mall around 3:18 p.m. on April 26.
The vehicle was driven by Kathie King of Paducah.
Deputies say Daniel Cooney was in the rear passenger seat of the vehicle. He had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Cooney was asked to get out of the vehicle. He was arrested.
Deputies found suspected methamphetamine in the area where Cooney was seated.
Cooney was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
Cooney faces charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
King faces charges of improper signal, failure to produce insurance card and obstructed vision/windshield.
