CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Confluence Rivers is asking residents in the Hillcrests subdivision of Cape Girardeau to conserve their water Tuesday.

An email sent to customers Tuesday afternoon asked customers to conserve water as technicians replaced a water pump as unscheduled repair work.

We are asking that you please conserve water this afternoon and through this evening as authorized technicians work on replacing Hillcrest’s water pump. Conserving water will allow the storage tank to remain with enough water supply for the community while this unscheduled but necessary repair work is completed.

Water conservation efforts include reducing shower time, dishwashing, not running water continuously, and refraining from any outdoor irrigation. We expect the repair work to be done by some time tonight and will inform you when it is finished. In the meantime, your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
