Man charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of child in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces predatory criminal sexual assault of a child charges in Williamson County.

Clint G. Russell face two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child under age 13, a class X felony.

Williamson County Sheriff’s Office investigators served an arrest warrant on April 30.

Investigators found Russell at a home in rural Jackson County.

Authorities conducted an extensive investigation that began on March 23 after they received a report concerning allegations of inappropriate contact.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and Williamson County State’s Attorney Ted Hampson assisted in this matter the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

Russell was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
