2 Paducah residents charged with criminal abuse of child

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two Paducah residents face child abuse charges after sheriff’s deputies say a child went to school with severe injuries.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was notified on May 2 that a child had arrived at a local school with severe injuries, consistent with abuse.

Deputies launched an investigation.

Carlie Elliott, 42, and Brittany Elliott, 28, both of Paducah were arrested and face one count each of criminal abuse – 1st degree – child 12 or under (Class C felony).

Both were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
