New Madrid Missing man found dead

NEW MADRID, MO (KBSI) — The search for a man who went missing on April 30th has been called off after his body was found in Arkansas.

New Madrid Police Department was called to an abandoned truck and trailer at the New Madrid Bend Access Boat Ramp. An officer quickly determined the boat and trailer were registered to Bruce Shockley.

A search began at this time by water and air in an attempt to locate Shockley.

After several days of searching, yesterday evening, a call was received from law enforcement in Arkansas of a body in the water near Blytheville, Arkansas.

A short time later, the body was confirmed to be Bruce Shockley.
