2 men, 1 teen accused of breaking into concession stand

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) – Two Mayfield men and a teenager face burglary charges after police say they broke in to a baseball field concession stand.

Mayfield Police Department officers responded to the baseball fields on North 17th Street on May 14 on a report of three people breaking into the concession stand.

Officers found two of the three suspects. The third suspect was found later at his home.

Officers contacted 26-year-old Chip Hester, 26-year-old Anthony Turner and a 13 year old, all of Mayfield.

Police say the three confessed to burglarizing the same location on previous, recent occasions.

Hester was arrested. He faces five counts of burglary 3rd degree and resisting arrest.

Turner was arrested and faces five counts of burglary 3rd degree and fleeing or evading police (on foot) 2nd degree charges.

The 13-year-old juvenile was charged with four counts of burglary 3rd degree and resisting arrest. The teen was released to a guardian.

Hester and Turner were taken to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center  and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Calloway County.

The Mayfield Police Department recovered a significant amount of stolen edible goods, related to these burglaries, from a home on Clark Street.
