Prodigy Leadership Academy teacher awarded 1 of 12 Christian Teachers of the Year

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A teacher at Prodigy Leadership Academy in Cape Girardeau is one of 12 recipients to received the 2024 Christian Teachers of the Year award among more than 700 nominees in the country.

Mrs. Jayme Reese was chosen as one of twelve recipients among 700+ nominees across the U.S. for Christian Teacher of the Year by the Stanley M. Herzog Foundation.

She has been an educator at Prodigy Leadership Academy for seven years. She is currently the high school lead teacher.

Reese has a BS in Education from Hannibal LaGrange University.

“As a mom of 3, God has blessed me with many experiences which I believe all have shaped me into who I am today!” said Reese. “From classroom, secretarial, and administrative experience, I have come to find that being with the students is where I am called to serve, guide, and support.” She also shares that she loves that, here at Prodigy, she can put her full focus not only on academics but also the student’s growth potential in heart and soul. She is passionate about meeting each student where they are and helping them grow in all aspects of their lives. She adds, “I’m so blessed to be a part of this amazing journey!”
