Arkansas man dies after crash in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – An Arkansas man died in a crash Friday morning in McCracken County.
McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 9700 block of Blandville Road around 6 a.m. on Friday, May 17 regarding a crash involving two vehicles, one of which had overturned.
Luccas McMahon, 33, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas was driving a 2007 Dodge Caravan eastbound on Blandville Road.
Ricky Butterfield, 59, of Kelso, Washington was driving a 2022 Ram 2500 westbound on Blandville Road.
Sheriff’s deputies say the two vehicles collided head-on in the westbound lane. That caused the 2022 Ram 2500 to overturn.
The rain and wet roadway conditions are believed to be a factor in this crash.
McMahon was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCracken County Coroner’s Office.
Butterfield was takent to a local hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries.
The Concord Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance, McCracken County DES, McCracken County Coroner’s Office and Harper’s Towing assisted sheriff’s deputies at the scene.
