Multi-vehicle crash on I-69 southbound near exit 21 in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Interstate 69 southbound was blocked Friday afternoon by a muti-vehicle crash just south of the U.S. 45/KY 80 Mayfield Exit 21 interchange in Graves County.

Earlier in the day a diesel fuel spill was reported along I-69 in this area.

The crash involves a semi and other vehicles immediately south of Exit 21 blocking the southbound lanes near where I-69 connects to the Purchase Parkway, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The southbound lanes were estimated to be blocked until about 3:30 p.m.

To avoid the crash site, southbound I-69 traffic is being detoured off at the U.S. 45 Mayfield Exit 25 interchange to follow U.S. 45 South through Mayfield and Wingo to connect to the Purchase Parkway at Exit 14.

There is no impact to northbound I-69 traffic at this crash site.
