Wanted Arkansas murder suspect arrested in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A man from Arkansas was arrested in Cape Girardeau on a murder warrant out of Blytheville, Arkansas.

Jaqavion Edwards, 19, was seen getting out a vehicle at Rhodes gas station at the 110 block of North Sprigg in Cape Girardeau Wednesday morning.

Officers say when he saw them, he pulled a gun from the front of the waistband of his shorts and tossed it to the floor of the vehicle he got out of.

Edwards was arrested for a active warrant from Blytheville, Ark. for murder 1st degree and engaging in a violent criminal group.

Edwards was arrested by the coordinated efforts of the USMS Fugitive Task Force, the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office and the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
