EF-3 tornado in Morehouse, EF-2 tornadoes confirmed in Sikeston, Gatewood

(KBSI) – The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-2 tornado hit Sikeston and ended at Diehlstadt, Mo. on Sunday.

Survey teams found additional damage between Sikeston and Morehouse. The damage just east of Morehouse was determined to be an EF-3 tornado with 140 mile per hour winds.

A crew surveyed damaged in Dexter also.

Survey crews also confirmed a long track EF-2 tornado that ripped through Ripley and Butler counties on Sunday. The tornado near Gatewood reached speeds of 115 miles per hour and had a 38.6 mile track.
