2 face criminal damage to property charges in Metropolis

METROPOLIS, Ill. (KBSI) – Two men face charges after Metropolis police responded to a report of a brick thrown at a vehicle.

Evan L. Junkins, 19, and Daniel T. Ramirew, 19, both of Metropolis each face a charge of criminal damage to property. Junkins also faces a charge of resisting arrest.

Metropolis officers were told that somebody threw a brick at a vehicle on 9th Street near the Southgate Nursing Home.

A Metropolis police sergeant responded to the area.

The victim gave a suspect description.

During the follow-up investigation, Junkins became the main suspect. He was found in the 700 block of E. 8th.

Officers also determined that Ramirew had also thrown rocks at the vehicle.

Police say when Junkins was advised he was under arrest, he resisted.
