Franklin County sheriff’s deputies looking for wanted register sexual predator

BENTON, Ill. (KBSI) – The Franklin County sheriff says a wanted registered sex offender may be in Carbondale.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating Michael D. Motsinger, 42, of Benton, Ill.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received information that Motsinger may be in Carbondale. The Carbondale Police Department has been notified and provided with the below information.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department a man is missing from Benton, Ill.

Motsinger, who the sheriff says is mentally disabled, last spoke with family on Sunday, May 26.

Michael has not had any contact with family since then.

Michael is also a registered sexual predator and is currently non-compliant in Franklin County.
