Eastbound I-64 closed in Jefferson County after crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 are closed in Jefferson County after a crash Friday afternoon.

I-64 eastbound is closed from US 51 (Centralia/Ashley Exit) to Woodlawn Exit, according to Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies.

The eastbound entrance at Woodlawn is open.

Traffic is being detoured.

Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies ask drivers to avoid the area.
